Pallet
The United States is facing a tragic and escalating crisis of unsheltered homelessness, yet traditional affordable housing construction takes years and costs millions, leaving vulnerable populations on the streets in the interim. Watching the devastating displacement caused by Hurricane Katrina years ago, founders Amy and Brady King realized emergency and transitional shelter needed a fundamental redesign. They launched Pallet Shelter, a social purpose company that manufactures rapid-response, transitional shelter villages. Their dignified, climate-controlled cabins can be assembled in under an hour, creating immediate communities that include on-site social services, hygiene facilities, and security.
Pallet Shelter embodies Cubit Capital’s calling to support meaningful endeavors supporting those in need. Beyond just building shelters, Pallet operates with a redemptive employment model, intentionally hiring individuals who are exiting the criminal justice system or recovering from addiction. By rapidly moving people off the streets and into a supportive environment, Pallet provides the essential bridge from homelessness to permanent stability.
